  • Am i right in saying Mike Harding did a version of this song in the early 80's?. I can remember him singing a song about the changing seasons on his old tv show.

  • This song was written by Dave Goulder - fabulous!

  • A beautiful interpretation, haunting and atmospheric. I love the simple seasonal theme of this song....very grounding. Cheers Christy!

  • In my world he is officially a shaman, a storyteller, and a true reflection of feeling and profound human heart laid out for all to see.

  • for many years i have been a fan of Christy , from his roots with Moving Hearts and on to his many solo exploits and diverse collaborrations with other singer /songwriters .... an absolute genius writer and an awesome vocalist ....alas only once i have witnessed the man live on-stage ......tremendous performance i have to say ............live long & prosper Christy

  • Brilliant.................no more to say

  • @Percy1969

It was written by Dave Goulder. Mike Harding did record an excellent version, it's on Bomber's Moon; download it from 7digital. Bert Jansch recorded a good version too.

  • A blessed storyteller that is a part of creation. We have forgotten how to tell stories, and give them meaning! Instead we sit transfixed in front of the TV. We have to wake up!

  • It's funny. In this age of instant gratification and unfortunately, manipulation; it is songs like these that are always passed on. A simple but poignant realization that we are part of the earth and the seasons are the rhythm of our lives. Especially here in Canada. Great old classic.
