Yeah, we have one and nobody here likes to use it. We don't feel comfortable using it as it seems a bit bulky compared to our little "human" clippers. I feel our birds are much safer with us using what we're comfortable with.
We have used the "basically" same (as bird clippers) design nail clippers on our dogs though, and I find myself being more worried about making a tragic mistake because they DO work so well.

There are actual bird nail clipper which are much safer & designed for parrots. You should check them out
