Hadamar: Protected by gas masks, grave diggers open reeking graves at this converted insane asylum. They discover that 35,000 political prisoners had been slain here, largely by poisoning. Camp Ohrdruf : General Eisenhower, General Patton and General Bradley can hardly believe their eyes when they view torture-gallows, heaps of charred human bodies and lime pits filled with corpses. Although they recoil, Nazi officials are forced to enter barns containing rows of decomposing, lime-sprinkled bodies. Buchenwald: 21,000 prisoners living in utter filth, stumble around with their broken skulls. Agonized corpses lie everywhere with large tattoed numbers on their sunken stomachs. Two roast ovens were used as crematoria. "Nordhausen: Starved corpses strew the ground. Creeping, jabbering, breathing skeletons are laoded into ambulances for possible treatment. And the Leader of Iraq (what is his name?), says the holocaust never happened? That it was all just propaganda? That man should get a tour of the Holocaust museums around Europe to get a small idea of what atrocities our fellow human beings committed . For him to say that is to spit on there graves! Shameful.......

Usually, even the Allied Newsreels would contain a moderate sense of propaganda. (Of course, they didn't tell outright lies like what the German Newsreels did.)

The sad thing, though, was that this newsreel needed no spin-doctoring whatsoever. The holocaust by itself had done all the nessicary work that is normally done by propaganda. All the filmmakers needed to do was to tell the truth.

Like the jewish memorial in Berlin, shouldn't there be a wall of marble in along the National Mall between the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol in Washington with 3,400,000 names of dead Vietnamese on it? Snug it up against the White House and display Robert McNamara's name, alongside those of JFK, LBJ, Dean Rusk and the other War Criminals!

@Scitech101 Go watch the vid on Robert McNamara -- the US Secretary of Defense who did the Bombings of Vietnam -- NOW admit that it was all a MISTAKE, and not really about "fighting communism". The US has most of the 3.4 million Vietnamese War dead -- mostly civilians -- on its conscience. Shouldn't that go to a war trial and reparataions paid? men like McNamara, McGeorge Bundy and Gerneral Westmoreland executed?? Do you think THAT should be trivialized and forgotten? ...

@Scitech101 .... and "no", it Dachau shouldn't be forgotten, ... it should be remembered along with other atrocities.... Did you know that on March 9, 1945 the US DELIBERATELY FIRE-BOMBED WOODEN RESIDENITAL TOKYO and killed over 250,000 people? The women and children ran for the small lakes and ponds, but the phosphorus burns on water and they LITERALLY BOILED to DEATH. That shouldn't be "forgotten" either.. The problem is that Dachau's horrors are trivial when compared to so many others....

Perhaps it was not part of the actual Holocaust, but does it really matter to the overall point? Does that mean that you don't think the events at Dachau ought to be remembered? Do you think that it means that it is trivial?
