Regarding automation. Rc is a sometimes hobby of mine. So is programming. Mixing both is time enjoyed, not wasted, for me at least.

How nice is this excavator, seems to be well designed and a lot of power, like you have said in many videos its all about the fun, be kinda sad when its all over, but I think I read you move 3 cubic metres a year, so you have plenty to Go !

@pumper8032 Actually, this winter I have mined down over 4 cubic yards already and about another 2 cu yd to go to get to floor level, hoepfully by the end of the month. I still have the remaining 10 feet wooden crib wall to build & then backfill the entire length south wall.. it'll be awhile yet before I finish.

Man how long can u dig with 1 set of batteries and how often u change them?
Looks like a sweet hobby, I've always wanted those excavator jiggalos that kids use in a sandbox, u know where u sit in and dig XD

@ASFALT21 This track hoe has a 4s lipo 5000mAh batt, hoe runs about 50 minutes continuous. The dump trk & some of the other smaller model equip run 10cell NiMH 2700mAh and the run times vary from 40mins to a few hrs, depends what's running on the model.
