@Goatman629 You're discounting the fact that the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons (Who worshipped Thor, Odin, and so on) settled in England and Scotland even before Druidism was practiced in the British Isles.
-
Actually Steve might be Celt, but he posted an article about the similarity between the Celtic gods and Norse God's, search in Google Celts and asatru,
-
I love Steve and revere him, but Reality Check. His ancestral religion was DRUIDRY. His ancestors worshipped Dagda and Lugh, not Odin and Thor. Crom not Freyr. If there was anything to his ideas of metegenetics and such, he would be Roman Catholic or Celtic neopagan today.

@UnyieldingDefiance Do not be fooled into thinking that I am someone who wishes to water us down. Here read this if you get the time: upssalaonline dot c o m slash factions Pragmaticism is the mainstay of our faith, and sufficient effort is a far cry from universalism, in fact it almost entirely denies and is the opposite of what you say.
-
@UnyieldingDefiance Well considering all of humanity spring from the same well I'd say that would be a valid argument. I am however not a Universalist, I am a Tribalist. There is a great deal of precedent for this, Irish slaves for instance were expected to take this faith up after a while and integrate into society. You put labels on me, but I agree that Univeralism is the watering down of our faith, but Folkishness is not the way either.
-
@effigytormented Lol I am not the one who is blind here, you are blinded by the cult of universalism which has been instilled in us by foreign religions such as Christianity and Islam. Odinism is an ancestral faith, the gods are represented as Germanic Europeans, please tell me how you think a none Germanic with no Germanic ancestry can be spiritually connected to our gods and way of life?
-
Oh, you wrote more.
"What world view would that be?"
One in which eveything today is contrasted between the evil Nazis and the good Allies.
"Tribalism is timeless, but Folkishness is recent."
No, tribalism is based on Folkishness, see my video series on the matter (it is currently in 16 parts).
I provide peer reviewed studies, etc.
"You have made no points other than avoidance."
What avoidance? What are you talking about?
-
"and to assume my character and who I am is erroneous. I made no such supposition with you"
You did exactly what I did to you
You said I spweded venom and then related it to Nazism.
I in turn said you talked like a Marxist.
"Other than that you make no valid point"
Nor do you. You just talk about your subjective preferences, attempting to taint a natural, ancestral religion that adhere to mans tribalism. Go do that with the Natives and see if they appreciate it.
What a hypocrite
-
@MrHerrIQ and to assume my character and who I am is erroneous. I made no such supposition with you, I don't know who you are or what you subscribe to. Other than that you make no valid point that I'm willing to debate with. You can either label people and be that "guy", or you try to understand people. No offense to you but the way you present things are childish.
Fantastic Video!

One thing I've enjoyed about Stephen McNallen over the years is his consistency of view and presentation, as presented to me.
