very enjoyable footage with beautiful music emphasising the peacefullness and tranquility enjoyed at pollok estate. People have visited the estate for generations and Sir John Maxwell would be turning in his grave to think his "gift" was being ravaged to create a theme park...thank you for the lovely film

I live right opposite a go ape site in the forest, and whatever the council say:-

1. THE TRAFFIC WILL INCREASE

2. THE NOISE IS BAD

3. IT IS NO LONGER ENJOYABLE TO WALK IN THE FOREST anymore because of Go Ape

SAY NO TO GO APE AND KICK THE BUGGERS OUT OF WOODS, THEY AINT WANTED

the site in Aberfoyle is host to private company days, hen and stage parties.

Go Ape hosts private days for company bonding.

It's a private company taking over public land. The private sphere won't let go. Lights, a restaurant..

Let's not miss the point. The council swept the consultation process under the rug, wants to lease public land to a private company, over the wishes of people who actually use, love and enjoy the park,including children!

I've been to the Go Ape site at Aberfoyle. I've been going to the Forest Park there all my life and to be honest I don't think the Go Ape facility's been detrimental.

They won't be there forever, and I'm sure when they leave it won't take long for what little evidence remains to go unnoticed.

I can see both sides of the argument though and can totally see why people who currently enjoy that part of Pollok Estate wouldn't want Go Ape turning up.

BTW - I don't object to the noise of children laughing. Its screaming kids demanding that their parents pay 15-20 quid a head to let them go on 'go ape' that will annoy me. Everything else in the park is free, thats the way it should stay.

Not surprised my comment on the images NOT in the Go Ape development has not appeared. Are you exercising your democratic right to censorship as well? I spent an hour in the park today. Sunshine and lovely views of trees, fields and acres of serene woodland. But I didn't go near the proposed site at all. It is possible that the sound of laughter would carry through the trees, but who could object to that over the M77 traffic and dogs barking? Say Aye Maybe to Go Ape!

Glasgow is Great City, but our leaders make Big and costly mistakes and we pay the price later.

Here are some examples:

The Kingston Bridge, always under repair.

The Glasgow Science Tower, Go up it if you dare or if its even ever open to the public.

The Brand new Squinty Bridge, support cables snapping like thread and the paints not even dry on it yet.

Next Pending Big mistake : Letting GO APE destroy the North Woods of the serene Pollok Park.

Not true. The final shot of the long path to Haggs Road, the pavillion, the cows, and the cycle routes are all well outside the area. I admit it won't be pretty but surely we should be trying to negotiate with Go Ape and Land Services to minimise the visual impact in the birch wood and the glade, reduce the price for Glasgow kids, reward those users who arrive by bike or public transport etc. I do not believe this negative fight will create the best outcome for the park, whichever way it goes.

Glad you liked the picture of the Heilin coo, it is only yards from where the Go APe development will be.

Only the pictures of Pollok House show areas of the park not directly effected, all the other pictures of walks and woodland are actually in areas in areas of the park this Go Ape development will be in. Perhaps you might take your own advice and "Never let the facts get in the way" not when you are trying to misrepresent folk exercising there democratic right through peaceful methods
