Posted by http://www.nostalgoteket.se Taken from the movie Myra Breckinridge. Mae West is just Mae West as she takes on Otis Redding's Hard To Handle and makes it her own. The movie itself starring Raquel Welch and Farrah Fawcett, is considered to be a gigantic failure, and while it's certainly no classic, it kept me entertained. There was a lot to look at which is not always the case, as a lot of movies these days are just radio with talking heads.

@waytooambitious I agree totally! LOL! She definitely did what she wanted to do. I loved her attitude when the "big boys" in Hollywood told her she was too fat. She simply looked at them with a smile and said, "that's all right fellas. Nothing personal", and walked out with that walked that said everything sexual and powerful and knocked then dead. A true legend, artist, and wonder woman. Yes a battleship in her name would be appropriate!

Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than seeing this. Man, they should use this cliup to snap people out of depression and into life. First she said screw you when they said women couldn't do what she wanted to do - and did it. Then she said screw you when they said old people couldn't do what she wanted to do - and she did it. And she died getting done what she wanted to do. Pretty practical blueprint for life. They should name a battleshp after her.
