One of my favourites. To me, this was the essence of Walt's entire purpose for Epcot. Why they got rid of this is beyond me. Epcot seems incomplete without it.

I have never been on this but I sure wish I had!

This ride looks awesome. Never been on it, it was closed before my first trip. Never been on Mission: Space and I don't plan on riding it anytime soon. I wish that they'd put this back in... :(

@dough218 If I recall the story correctly, the Florida Department of Agriculture in correlation with with the Florida Department of Tourism approached Disney when planning the ride, and specifically asked that oranges (a cash crop in that portion of the state at that time) be featured, to include the smell.
The orange groves many people drove through on their way to Disney were once huge attractions, to the point they made a tourist trap (The Citrus Tower).

I vaguely remembered this, but when I started viewing the video it brought back a flood of great memories.

@Supermassively that what I miss the most, that "Lorange" smell!

@dough218 In the Mesa Verde section, there are huge harvesting machines gathering Loranges from the Lorange trees, and Disney installed a "Lorange Scent Cannon" in the ride to blast orange scent into the air at that part. It smelled amazing.

@mcrtnyfan They're not oranges... they're Loranges!
