I'm guessing they are imitating what the animated dancers in one of the video games this is from do in the background. Either way I love this song loads at the moment

The animated dancers in the ParaPara Paradise game (if you're in parapara mode, at least) do the actual dance to each particular song. We filmed this so people could learn the dance without having to go to the arcade, spend money on a game, watch the dancer and learn from her :)
