  • Instead of chanting let him go, you should instead TAKE HIM BACK!!!

  • I wish the speaker spoke with a less emo tone of voice.

  • @Jfurm333 Well if everybody had a gun on their waist we wouldn't need officers!!!!!

  • @popemobil74 Actually, our civil liberties are very similar regarding the issues we are discussing, almost identical really. Believe it or not, you guys in many respects are in far worse shape than we are at the moment. At this point I think you and I should agree to disagree. If you like I will speak with you on PM so that we no longer highjack this thread, if you feel I can help.

  • @Lean540 they are not targeting any one and how do.you know it is from the flim that they learned that the guy was the leader could it not have have been from.a past protest the officer worked? Also Canada does not have the same civil liberties as we do in the united states so there the law may be completely different.

  • @popemobil74 Rather than continue the back and forth, why not just watch some the video's to right?

  • @popemobil74 I am not angry, merely researching and on occassion, shocked at what I find. As you can see in this video, they are targeting "leaders" of a perfectly legal demonstration.Illegal law enforcement acts. That should concern everyone. Check out the many civel liberties violations from the recent G-20 in Toronto. There is an effort across North America to intimidate the right to assembly. Something I would never have believed myself before researching it. Keep an eye on Mexico this year.

  • @Lean540 then how can you be angry when police record? That is the whole reason for theis arguement. Police can and will record everything

  • @popemobil74 I didn't say they were'nt allowed. Read my post again. And I am deffinately NOT paranoid. To be honest with you, until my recent research for a documentary, I knew very little about these issues. During said research I have been enlightened a great deal on many aspects of recent changes to civil liberties, both in Canada and the US, as well as law enforcement. Most of it scares the hell out of me. I base my concerns on facts not speculation. I encourage you to look a little closer.

  • @Lean540 How can you say police do not have the right to record us if we are recording them. Any one can edit a video and make the police look bad it has been done before that is why police are allowed to flim us. What makes you think they are "gather(ing) evidence against citizen(s)". The Patriot Act has nothing to do with this your just paranoid. You can think that the goverment will allow you to flim police and police not allowed to flim you.

  • @popemobil74 check the law, a police officer does not have the same rights as a citizen. There are good reasons for that. By law they need probable cause to gather evidence against a citizen. Your right to peaceful assembly is not probable cause. In every case in where police forces bypass that principle you have very well documented abuse. The worst, of course, being Nazi Germany. It goes from being benign to oppression very quckly. See "The Patriot Act".

  • @Lean540 they are recording their side of the story look at all the edited film out there of police the biggest one I know.of is.uc Davis. Police have been recording long.before this and how can you say policr don't have the same rights as citizens?
