This was the first of two animes who's ending made me cry. I've watched about 20 or so animes in my lifetime. This one, in my opinion, was a masterpiece.
BTW: Fractale was the second one.

One of the saddest,depressing anime for me would have to be clannad the show was just unbeilevable.

Dude I cried at the end as well and long after. This just really touched me and that is really rare. Glade to see someone else feel the same way about this anime. 10/10 on your review.

To my opinion, this anime is only mediocre. The characters are great and well developed (the main characters, so to speak), but the storyline is rather horrible. It's rushed and fuzzy. The main idea is made, but then the story that develops with Kanade is horrific.
Kanade is a nice character with good intent. But her "pity me, people! I have no friends!" attitude is as annoying as shit. AND, Yuzuru just loves her at the end. But Yuri, a more humbly pitiful character just goes off without regard.

I freaking loved Angel Beats I didn't cry at the end but I was in this state where it felt as though my heat was in pain it was a fantastic ending for a fantastic series

this is easly one of my top 5 favorite anime the story characters the comedy in it absolutly love the music! opening and ending themes were awesome and i love Girls Dead Monster!

Can anyone answer this? I don't get how Otonashi came 2 the high school after Kanade "when" his heart was used 2 extend Kanade's life yet Kanade is already there and has been there battling Yuri and the others! Someone please explain this 2 me!
