  • Spare yet sublime. I could listen to this all day. The steel guitar really complements Tracyanne's voice.

  • This is the first song I heard by them. I heard it on the radio and then forgot the lyrics but then heard it again later that night and remembered them, looked them up, then nothing was the same since them--they're my favorite band. I just saw them live in my hometown too. :)

  • Such a gorgeous song. I could listen to Camera Obscura for hours and hours. Completely and utterly in love with this.

  • I wish she would smile

  • for 5:18 mins i everything around me went quite and all i could hear was the song

  • this song was awesome ... i cant stop to hear that ,

  • break up song? i think so

  • @Zontertes duh

  • omg why am i here? LOLOLOL

  • I use to cry to this. Its a very lovely song. One of my favorites.

  • @zhbvenkhoReload chorus: seperating is ok cos hes not a good example for living, he wanted to control her and use her as a means to his veil. verse3: door = entry to her heart, rain = tears, so entry to her heart is more difficult (swollen) as a result of the sadness by this guy so shes shut herself away too, shes one example of how people can become shattered as a result of failed love, hes one example of how you can become disappointed by seeing through false smiles/veil. lovely song :)

  • @zhbvenkhoReload verse1: being judged, falling short of expectations, she knows shes disappointing him as she sees through his false smiles. verse2: he likes to portray himself as a man of the world (a veil), get his thrills from things you would never know hes thrilled by ("darkest places"), he would disappoint you if you saw through his false smile because you would see that his "culture" is a veil and you would see where his true thrills come from (which are assumingly not appealing/good).
