  • My 100hz Trinitron finally died. I went looking for another CRT monitor that would do as well (1280x1024) and there really aren't any. The more recently manufactured ones (that would still be functioning today) are more like 85Hz.

Unfortunately, the 3D monitors and 3D televisions that are currently being brought out do NOT have OLED displays -- they have LCD displays. That results in ghosting.

  • @MatthewBryce

    Incorrect.

LCD displays, like other displays, DO refresh at a constant rate -- but with varying pixel response times.

In the past, LCD displays did not have fast enough pixel response times to work with shutter glasses, but today they do, although not very well.

The eD glasses DO work with LCD monitors. I have them, and have used them with LCD monitors.
