Sandra Volcere Lots of people that I speak to who are from an ethnic minority, including some of my own family members, argue that having an organization that celebrates mixed heritage Britons is unhelpful or unnecessary because a) it still uses the idea of race and b) it suggests the mixed people should separate themselves from ethnic groups who face a lot of racism and ally themselves more with being more 'white'!
