Carl Sagan was definitely an atheist. He was a scientist and didn't care for "believes without evidence". In the old days it was logical that the questions, now answered by science, where answered with religious ideas. How they became "facts" for the religious people in our time, is astonishing, but true.

Carl Sagan also might meant, that the cosmos is all that is ever was or will be?Can we prove or disprove that "something" more "above" cosmos exist?
