Rubber milk tapping in Vazhoor, Kerala

The side of the tree is cut with a special tool at an angle around half the trunk. Immediately the rubber milk starts oozing out. The is skilled cut (done on alernate days above the previous cu) Otherwise, the tree will harden and no milk will come! About 0.5 liter will come in 1-2 hrs (for better variety about 0.9 Liters will ooze)flowing into the coconut shell collector. This will be collected on the return round by the tapper. In 1 acre (1 hectare is 2.47 acre)about 180 trees may be there. The milk, after smoking will give about half the weight. The cost of Rubber increased in the last 8 years fromRs 10 per Kg to about 140 per kg as of now! Just like Cost of Oil from about $ 10 per barrel in 1998-9 to $ 140 per barrel now! Kerala rubber growers , mostly small holders of about 2 to 8 acres are having a good time! 180 X 0.3X15 x140
= 0.1 million per month (less expenses say 0.01million/month). Looks too high!. Can someone make a more realistic calculation?
