Noisy Neighbours 13.05.2011 Part 2

Almost every night my wife and I have to put up with this. The two girls that live next door, both of whom can't be much older than 19, have their boyfriends round almost every night of the week (would that constitute sub-letting which isn't allowed?) to stay over where they seem to think it's ok to shout, stamp their feet, bang on the walls shouting our names, and play music at a stupid level till all hours of the morning. Apparently, they've been served a section 21 notice to quit the property at the end of their tennancy. This would mean that basically they're being allowed to carry on like this until they leave. The letting agency claim that this is all that they can do. The police have been round to respond to the harrassment that my wife and I have received from the idiots but it doesn't work. They just carry on how they like. The council are dragging their feet in doing anything. Nothing else to do now except wait for them to go. Until then, my wife and I will have to remain sleep deprived.

Wow! sounds just like my apartment building. I told the landlord and it made things worse. So I am running my own intervention. In your case you could try putting boxes with heavy books or bricks in them up to that wall and see if it helps. If not put a shelf up and get a subwoofer speaker and set it on the shelf with music or white noise.

I have seen your posts on the site..... and to be honest, these people seem to have some sort of behavioural disorder!
