Also, some of the "stories" that were written, were written as much as a few hundred years after the event(s) - think about this for a moment; I would tell a story here now and by the time this story pass through 20-something ears, it would have changed completely. Now apply that theory to the bible, and multiply it by a few THOUSAND years (at least until the first council of Nicea) food for thought.

It is indeed possible that there may be life existing in "another dimension" however...until we can visit such a place or prove that there is one...we're pretty much lumbered with what we can see and personally experience. But who knows?

I really feel for you here. I get up some mornings and I feel like I cant believe that people actually do not have enough critical thinking skills to know when something is obviously a myth. It is profoundly sad and frustrating to think about. I believe communication is a big help, and technology is making the world smaller so these people may not be able to live in their little bubbles forever, and we may heal some minds.

There is no creation story in the Bible anyway. The first two chapters of Genesis list two different tales, Job (Chap. 38-42) gives another, which might be the story in Psalms or Isaiah, or might not.

Ask a creotard to write the first 56 verses of the Bible in correct chronological order. Then laugh.

I do believe in an intelligence beyond our three-dimensional universe. But the bible? Hmmm! I have been doing some research for some time now and the are a few things in it that dosen't make sense to me. Now I know that in the old test. esp. the books that were allegedly written by Moses were written to establish some control over the then israelites - think about it - the best way to control a mass of people is to instil fear in them then show a way out through you (GOD).

No, actually any "law of nature" works only in given circumstances. The most we can say we do not know any possible state of circumstances where energy could be created from nothing.

those "laws" also states energy = matter, so the Universe and all are, were and will be eternal (within the laws limit)

1st Law of Thermodynamics states that energy is eternal. It cannot be created or destroyed. Therefore, energy has existed before the universe, time, and space and energy will exist after these things pass away (if they do).

I have trouble believing that it was a dumb, vague, and unconscious source of energy that accidentally caused our existence.

That being said, surely this energy source most be all-powerful, and can possibly take the form of a burning bush, etc, when it desires to do so
