Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Campaign - "Wolverines!" - Veteran Difficulty 3/3

'Wolverines!' is the sixth mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In response to what they believe is a U.S. supported terrorist attack on Zakhaev International Airport (after finding the body of Private Joseph Allen at the airport and apparently completely bypassing the United Nations), the Russian Government has declared war on the United States, seeking revenge for the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians. Using a duplicate of the ACS module Task Force 141 had recovered earlier in Kazakhstan, the Russian military glitches the early warning systems of NORAD into reporting massing forces approaching the United States on the West Coast, of which are promptly dismissed by local Air Force Bases, thereby allowing them to sneak in on the East Coast undetected. The Russians then launch an attack on the U.S. East Coast, using cargo planes to airdrop troops, armor and equipment while fighter jets destroy targets. The U.S. military is caught off guard by the sudden attack and mobilizes to combat the threat.

You play as Private James Ramirez, starting off in a Humvee until it is disabled by enemy fire. The first objective is to rendezvous with Raptor's downed helicopter. You engage Russian forces through the neighborhood. A BTR-80 engages the Rangers, so Sergeant Foley moves his men to avoid the street, passing through alleyways.

Ramirez' team reaches a business district, where "Raptor" is being kept safe inside a restaurant meat locker. Foley directs the team to secure the restaurant area, making use of an air-dropped arsenal on the roof. The arsenal includes an M5 Sentry Gun, M14 EBRs, and a Predator uplink for missile strikes, which later goes offline after a Russian shoots it down. Large numbers of Russian Federation Airborne attack, but Ramirez's squad keeps on firing, also using Stinger missiles to take out enemy helicopters. The first stinger is in the same diner you found the predator; after using it up, there is an infinite stinger supply on top of Nate's Restaurant (The first place you had to defend). After holding out using everything they can, their convoy arrives and the team breaks for it.

@dpas2009 Well I know a H.A.N.E. can cause electromagnetic pulse which goes through the antenna of electronics burning out the integrated circuits. That would explain the hellies falling and all the electronics failing. o.o and am still impressed about the SS-N-23 (5200 miles range) guess that would be the missile used in the game. Launched from a Delta IV sub with a nuclear warhead of 100 kt. ^^ awesome~! Thanks a lot =D now that cleared up my mind. (ps. did some research about the SS-N-23)

@harold562 It's an ICBM (I think it's the SS-N-23 missile) launched from a Delta III or IV sub. Captain Price, in the Contingency mission, goes inside a Russian sub and launches one to hit over Washington, D.C. to send an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) that knocks out (not jam) ALL electronics on both sides, but since we are on home soil, it gives us a slight advantage (since I believe that they have more tanks) enabling our forces to continue fighting and take back all that we lost.

I believe the TAR-21 is the best weapon in the game. i straight out really enjoy search & destroy with this particular weapon. i absolutely cleanse the opposing base thereafter blow these folks up while i employ this gun! you guys have the new map pack now? it's great ive just down loaded it at mw2forfreeZinfo (replace Z with . ) this week myself
