Long leaf pine is a very usual pine for the south. Anyone who would like to place pine straw in their yard is able to because of this Pine. http://www.tytyga.com/
Growing a Pine (especially a longleaf) in a pot is like growing a bass in a bowl but worse. The tree can’t develop a tap root when it’s young which is BAD. A pot makes a pine develop a root system that is very unnatural and it will never correct itself once it’s replanted. The wind will throw it to the ground at some point.
DuffLego. No. Too far out of its natural range.
