The Cape Town Tango Ensemble launched its new CD "Tango Club" in March 2010 on the "Good Music World" Record Label. One of the most popular tracks from the new CD has been "Adios", composed and arranged by the ensemble's Bandoneonist and Accordionist Stanislav Angelov.
For me, there is a melancholy in this tango that is arresting every time I hear it. The piano has not got that much to do in the sphere of solos and drama, which gives me opportunity to appreciate the tender and intimate atmosphere it conjures up.

Are you saying it sounds liek Piazzolla or is inspired by Piazzolla? Because it was composed by the CT Tango Ensemble's Bandoneon/Accordeon player Stanislav Angelov. It has become a very popular number in all our shows and concerts. We play a lot of Piazzolla, so it is inevitable that we will import the stylistic lessons we learnt. I am so glad you enjoyed it. We love to perform it.
