I'll still work on it some when im there, but not like i used to...

Im just so sick of stuff like this happening...

  • you seem about to the point im at. the unrestored pos farmall cub is parked on the woodline, that thing aint worth fixing and the model aa doodlebug is on its way out. after hundreds of dollars im ready to say fuck it all and let the thing go as parts. im sick of all this old broken farm machinery and the bullshit involved with it

  • @cubcadetpuller

Jeeze... And everyone wonders why some of the old farmers who dealt with this shit drink so much....

I feel your pain... Trust me...

  • I will take it off your hands if you want!

  • dont give up on it mate there is always spring break

  • chuck- you could have put a small carb spacer in between the manifold and the carb, were does the throttle plate hit the manifold, and are you giving up on it or what

  • Maybe it's like cursed it haunted or something, lol

  • would you like to sell it? im always looking for something to fix up,

and if your intrested let me know how much you are asking for it,

  • damn that sucks man its always somethin with them damn tractors. makes me wonder why i even bother with that shit. hope u can get it goin dude

  • i think thats coming lol

  • ok the problem with your tractor is your just over looking something. i can tell you it might be something really small and easy and thats hopefully all it is. my gut feeling is your gaskets arent sealing well and your carb might still need to be cleaned more. i have a couple of carbs similar to your original off the B i can show you how i completly tear down a carb and clean it right then put it back together again so it works right. i might even have instructions i could email you.

  • hey man thats part of the fun of restoring and maintaining old stuff ingeneral. sometimes you just hit a nasty spot in the road and you start to sink into a little bit of a hole, but you'll dig your self out sooner or later and youll be happy you did. dont give up on the doodle bug. it will be worth it in the end.

  • ill make a video to show you how to fix your original carb so it works. it might take some trial and error on your part but its not very difficult and it looks like you already put some new parts on the carb.

your carb and manifold from the other tractor are off a different sized engine so its not going to be ajusted right when put on the other tractor.
