This is how Heath Ledger actually died. So, basically, when he got the role of The Joker, he wanted to really look and feel in character. So to make himself feel stressed and look rugged, he made himself become an insomniac. When the film had been made, he started taking sleeping pills at a normal amount, but they didn't work, so then he took them a lot more. Unfortunatley, he overdosed himself with sleeping pills so much that it killed him. That's the truth.
