She was nervous, but cute, funny, and well informed. And, yes, pacemakers do explode in cremation retorts if not removed. Trust me, you do not want to be standing next to one when it goes off. The surgical stainless steele parts sometimes bounce around the chamber for a few seconds before they settle down and melt. It's not an experience you'd want to hang out with.
