  • At 1:46 how did you center the mill with the valve guide?

  • @ilivensoca - The workhead floats on air and it is moved into position and then clamped in place.

  • do you think i could resurface a cylinder head with a belt sander? i would be very careful of course. my head is pretty flat, i just has some hardened goo like stuff on it and i need to get it off without damaging the head, its on a ford 400 M engine. and i dont have much money to have someone else do stuff to it.

  • @dnl5649 - The head will be just as warped if you use a belt sander, it need to be milled.

  • Wow, what is America to do once we lose all this knowledgeable talent? I fear that once guys like you are gone we are screwed.

  • you totally helped me fix some valve issues last week bro. i seriously appreciate the work you do and thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with the web!

  • Belt sander? Oh no....

  • how much does it cost to rebiuld your cylinder heads

  • I am a olds lover too,This really brings back memories. Nice work ! My 324 olds engine is on u-tube under landers engineering. Thanks,Eddie

  • nice job , more vid. pls

  • Awesome Video!

  • Hi John,

What kind of a bill would you give this customer for all this work? Also, why did you not put hardened seats in it? I have a hard time selling work (time) the customers just go out and buy heads complete. I end up doing this stuff just for myself. In this case, your customer cannot buy aftermarkets.
