Beautiful, but disturbing. His playing is so coked out and almost maniacally crunchy and bright. It is still one of my favorite performances, just so sad.

Jazz legend Bill Evans, R.I.P. Jazz piano pros and students try to emulate your style and dazzling chops. I have a long, long way to go, if ever, even come close...

@toyotayaruno hey, you should try looking for a copy of The Real Book. There are multiple editions that would probably have this song in it. I'm japanese too, but I like in California! its great that people in japan love jazz so much. Bill Evans is my favorite pianist.

That's true, but nobody remembers that Bieber-shit thirty or fourty years from now.
It is totally meaningless!

Bill Evans was one of a kind - his playing can only be described as .... made in heaven.

I had the good fortune to hear Bill Evans with this trio at Ronnie Scotts in London; I was working opposite, suporting and accompanying singer Julie Amiet. Every set the trio played was wonderful. Sadly Bill passed away a few weeks later. May he forever Rest in Peace. Ken Baldock

Opinions are cool I suppose. And not all listeners are the type that have heard and listen to all the various styles of jazz which endless. I feel this beautifully played and as for swing...what are you talking about? Please show me an example of what u mean by swing. This is pretty swingin
