Compared to the world the U.S. does suck for the most part. Not enough interest in the sport unfortunately. James Guo came from China, though, and placed very high as a junior in a junior tournament there. Barney Reed was hired as a practice partner for Germany's Womans National Team. They both have better skill than is readily discernable by my low quality video. Be happy that the country you are from cares more about table tennis. I wish mine did.

I think they don't look that good to you because they are so similar in level. Both players are rated in or near the top ten in the U.S.

listen beat boxer. u might think your good, but as I know barney very well as a friend and as a table tennis player. As a 13 little boy. you dont have the stamina, power, or the experiance to beat barney. he will do things to you that will send you home crying to your mommy u arragant little punk. he may not be top in the world, but he beats every chinese defect that comes over to the US. Post up one of your videos and well see whos better.

i agree he looks like hes not great, but you have to remember that there is so much spin on the ball that you cant see in the video and the hits are so fast i doubt many skilled table tennis players could return most of these hits

i met barney reed last night, and he has gone into 5 games against Rosskopf, who is 49 in the world; if you really think you can beat him, than why aren't you in the top 50?

Find a local club or tournament then watch the best there and see what you think. Better yet, pick up a racket and play who you estimate to be the least talented at the club. One more thing... While you're doing this, shut your mouth. My money is on your opponent! Good Day.

I agree with casgarble. I've seen both of them play during other matches and both extremely good players. Because both of them are trying to attack the third ball, this match seems disjointed.

James' backhand and reverse backhand is actually far better than most penholders, but his forehand is just really good.
