Against The Odds Chp 63

sorry it's been so long since I've posted, was going to post this a few days ago, but I got busy
and the video upload format has changed, it's a sign that it's been a while

"So what are you going to cook for me?" Joe asked as we went into the kitchen.
"I was thinking I would make chicken parmegiana if that's okay with you," I suggested.
"That sounds perfect," Joe replied.
"Good, because it's one of the only things I can make besides plain pasta," I commented.
"Well, I see you have a wide variety of dishes you can make," Joe joked.
"I can make plenty of different things so that I'm not always eating the same thing," I replied.
"Well, I'm glad," he replied as he sat down watching me get everything I needed to make dinner.
As I cooked we chatted about various random things including school and classes leaving the bigger stories for during dinner. It took me just over a half hour to cook everything and we went into the dining room to eat. And by dining room I mean a small table and three chairs in the corner of the room.
"So, what else has been going on in your life?" Joe asked as we ate.
"Besides going to classes and spending time with you?" I asked in return.
"Well, yeah," he replied.
"Not much, between classes and you there's not a whole lot of time left for other things," I responded. "You?"
"Same, darn classes taking up all my time," Joe laughed.
"I thought you said once you got back to school you would have more of a life," I teased.
"Did I say that?" he asked.
"Several times I believe," I replied.
"Well, maybe I'll just have to go back to having more of a life and I'll just have to spend less time with you so I can prove it," he teased back.
"You wouldn't!" I fake gasped.
"Oh, but I would," Joe replied, but he couldn't keep a straight face and started laughing two seconds later and I joined in.
Joe helped me clean up and wash the dishes before we went into the living room, or common area, or whatever you want to call it, to pick out a movie to watch. We ended up picking out two movies since it was still early and we had the time. As we watched I moved closer to Joe until I was leaning against him and he had his arm wrapped around me. I must admit it was a nice feeling.
"Can you go put the other movie in? I'm too comfortable to move," I asked Joe when the first movie ended.
"You do realize that if I go change the movie I have to get up and I won't be your comfortable pillow," he reminded me.
"Then I'm too lazy to get up," I replied.
"Fine, I'll change it," he sighed.
"Thank you," I replied with a smile.
"You know, for someone who's never had a boyfriend before you do know how to get people to do what you want," Joe commented as he sat back down on the couch and I snuggled back up to him.
"I think it's because you like me so much," I replied.
"I think you may be right," Joe replied before giving me a kiss and starting the movie.
Unfortunately I started falling asleep towards the end of the movie. I blame Joe for being so comfortable. When the movie ended I was ready for bed and I think Joe was too. We headed into the bedroom and I got changed while Joe was in the bathroom and visa-versa.
"You can sleep in Kristin's bed since she won't be back tonight," I told him.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Definitely, I don't want you sleeping on the couch that's way too small and uncomfortable," I replied. In the end Joe agreed and before I knew it I was asleep. I awoke to the sound of Joe walking around only to find him making breakfast.
"You don't have to do that," I told him.
"I know, but this way breakfast is done and you don't have to wait for it," he smiled. It was hard to complain with that logic.
"I should probably go," Joe said once we finished eating. "I'll talk to you tonight probably," he said giving me one last kiss before he left.
Once Joe left I sat down at my desk and started to do the homework that was due tomorrow. I was being productive for about an hour and a half when my phone rang.
"I talked to mom and dad yesterday," Rachel said when I answered.

I'm going to Belize for two weeks so the next one will be up when I get back. Hopefully over winter break/next semester I'll start posting regularly again

I'm glad they had a little date. I wonder what happened when Rachel talked to her mom and dad. Nothing bad I hope.
