The ISS was designed and dreamed to orbit earth and unite the countries of earth for the Space age. It was nether designed, nor built to withstand movement to another planet or moon or celestial body. The smarter and probably easier idea would be to build a space station AT a targeted planet. The ISS is also in no way in its final stage, it will continue to be built apon for many more centuries to come(possibly longer).

it may do eventually but it will be a colony for several centuries first - look at what happened with colonisation of other nations on earth

Sadly, the ISS isn't in its finale stage, let alone near it=\ Still alot more things and adjustments to be made. The original design was somethign out of the movies. two wheel like rings to make up the main body. But with the plans to colonize space around 2020, im sure this will be a interesting time to live, as we watch them finish colonies and space stations.

It would take months, and also you would have to find a way to attach a huge rocket to power the first burn to get it under way, stresses it probably couldn't cope with

you couldn't move it there. it can be kept in earth orbit indefinitely though, it just costs a lot.
