The first speaker is clearly not a scientist, but an activist. He knows nothing about economics. Why is a pseudo-science commenting on economic policy? I give up.
To be fair, it seems that the first speaker, Dr. William H. Schlesinger who is an AGW supporter, is a former scientist who has become an activist.
To see more of John R. Christie (who was against the notion of AGW) search for "what do the numbers show" on YouTube. I learned more about climate change in the first 5 minutes of his seminar than in the last 5 years of listening to Al Gore.
