  • this is a really good episode. thanks for posting!

  • Glad that you enjoyed it! I actually posted this one due to a request. I do think it's ok but not my personal favorite Ray Bradbury Theater episode. If you enjoyed this you should check into the short story. The inner dialogue of the main character adds a different feel, and makes for a slightly sadder ending.

  • Hi, I'm enjoying this episode of The Lake, but the short story is better. Thanks for posting this one. By the way....do you know which episode it is that's about this little boy that's sick in bed and he sends his dog out to bring him treasures, since the kid can't walk. And, the dog apparently brings back his dead grandmother. Do you know the name of that episode please?

    thanks..

  • @oceansdoor

That's The Emissary. Another case in which the story was better than the episode. Still, I don't have it posted yet so maybe I'll put that one up next.

  • Tally is so beautiful! ;) I just can't get over that fact! Oh, and the rest of the story is good too! Actually managed to make me fear the water for a second...

But Tally is so adorable! I just wanna hug her for eternity! :D

  • I really like this episode, thank you

  • - Absolutely and completely heart-breaking. This episode of Ray Bradbury Theatre has stayed in my thoughts a great many years, and even seeing again it after all this time, it still has the impact of a sledge hammer ;just like when i saw it so long ago. At one time or another, we were all this little boy, or girl sometime in our lives, and enjoying those carefree days of childhood. Thank you for posting this, and thank you for the memories as well.

  • Thanks! That's right.....the Emissary! I agree....the short story would be better than the episode. I loved the story. There's also another episode and it seems like I've seen it a long time ago. It's about a woman that got buried alive by her husband out in the woods & these boys hear her voice from down under the ground, moaning! So, the boys start digging her up. Do you know the name of that episode please? Does this episode sound familiar? I always thought it was a night gallery but it isnt
