I think it's worth mentioning that Shogun is a reimplementation of the game Wallenstein by the same designer. I know some people who don't like the narrow constrained map of Japan and prefer the more open, square-ish map of Wallenstein. Also, Wallenstein is being reprinted so it will soon probably be easier to find. Another great review, Marco - it makes me want to pull the game out again!

I really like Shogun as well. I love how players are limited by the tightness of money.
