I dunno, I like both, but if I had to choose, I'd say this one. Just something about it, not sure how to explain. anyways, thanks for putting it up, you dont get to hear much of the Dubliners over here

This is NOT the song played at the Battle of San Jacinto and hope Touchhole didn't screw it up at the re-enactment yesterday. You can hear the true Texas history version, with the Sir Thomas Moore's lyrics, if you google "Will You Come to the Bower" AND Carl Peterson.

Sam Houston's fifers and drummers played this tune on the battle field April21st 1836 we'll play it on our fifes and drums at the re-enactment April 16 2011 y'all come on out

It's a lovely song, I went to Ireland on hol with my husband 9 Aug to Dublin, and had a wonderful time seeing all the historical sights, Glasnevin Cemetery Irish heroes Michael Collin's grave, Larkin's, Grace Gifford etc. Kilmainham gaol.

Luke Kelly sings "Will you Come To The Bower" as no other. Ronnie Drew does just as well. We miss Ronnie, Luke and Ciran. Rest in Peace lads.
