I didn't like the movie, i bought this movie because i thought it was a good horror movie. The only thing they are doing in the movie is walking up stairs, taking breaks, finding corps and talking about stuff that dosen't make any sense. the movie was not scary and for me the movie was boring :(

It wasn't supposed to be scary most of the time. And yes, some people can only concentrate if there are chase scenes and explosions. In this movie the things that happen aren't always what they seem. They have symbolic meanings. A lot is left for your imagination which is something not a lot of movie goers like..

@Lars0n Very well said. This movie is supposed to embrace some metaphysical matters... Which will be more than disappointing for a mindless watcher. Horror goes way beyond scenes of body mutilation and physical death...

This Karim Hussain film is one of my favorites. The film's pace is slow and the metaphysical world, even in the abstract language of the film also recalls Tarkovsky's Stalker. Curious, creative and allegorical film imbued with surrealism, which is the collapse of the world, the lack of spirituality, our destruction...

The documentary covered the 1997 Fantasia Film Festival. At the time, Karim Hussain and Mitch Davis were still in financial and legal wrangles to finish their debut Subconcious Cruelty. Hussain was adamant about it getting finished and explaining the in-progress work to his fellow peers, including still photos (Yikes!).

At least he showed great support to Nacho Cerda with his Aftermath movie and hyped up Richard Stanley's Dust Devil. Sounding like a good Frank Booth.
