Running a mag through my AWC Amphibian II (integrally suppressed Ruger Mark II). This video should make up for the really dark one I uploaded 6 months ago.

Wow, ok, enough of the uninformed are asking the same question. So, Ill try to educate.

Those who get emotional and jump on comments and try to engage me in a dialogue will be disappointed, as I'm posting then moving on.

I wear ear protection as a habit.
Rather than take them off simply because of one particular gun, I wear them the entire time.
Thus, earpro isn't forgotten for other guns.
(And according to Al Paulson's data, suppressed .22 pistols make noise in the 120-130dB range.)

  • How much would this cost?

Did you use sub sonic rounds?

  • @The818211187 Differnt brands cost varying amounts.

    Budget at least $1K.

No subsonics. The barrel is ported to bleed velocity off standard and hi-vel rounds.

  • @Frankdude72

    Thanks.

    One last question.

Did you have to get a stamp for it?

  • @The818211187 Oh yes, all suppressors transferred between non-FFL/SOTs incur a $200 tax stamp.

  • Hey, Im also a proud owner of a silenced mark 2. My question is: It isnt reloading properly because the subsonic ammo is just a little bit too weak... what can I do? replace the recoil spring? thats quite a pain in the ass to do (my ruger has a factory barrel)... or are there any tips anyone could give me?

    its quite an annoying problem.

    great vid btw.

  • @490Dodesheide This one doesn't cycle subsonics reliably either, as it's excessively ported.

    It depends on your model.

If it slows the the Hi-Vels and Hyper-Vels to subsonic like mine, then you should just stick with those.

  • @shiond123 Short answer. HELL NO.

Though they'll be pretty tranquil after a couple slugs in the head.

  • Would be nice for the backyard....sadly i'll never ever get one here in Austria :(

  • This looks cool, sounds like the bolt is louder than the actual gunfire!

  • Do they still make the Mark II's? I only saw the Mark IIIs on the website. But then again, i didn't see the suppressed model all on the website so...? Do they make these off the Mark II or Mark III platform these days?

  • issheepmanimmortal well there are 3 MK's ive learned as much as i can from this gun for it is my favorite i dont think you could get a II some day soon they stopped making it in 2004 i think or 2006 but they still make the MKIII any mark will make me happy

  • @Frankdude72 i just like to say i love the ruger marks, any one of them will do for me i dont care if theyre silenced i dont care if i get 1,2, or 3 i think that model is so freaking beutiful i wanted to a pellet gun version only i could find it at one website its a black mark 3 and what mark would make me the happiest is the ruger mk2 or 3 stainless steal with a nice clean brown grip i would saw of my foot for that :) good vid!

  • Hehehe... and you can use it inside casinos...

  • @shiond123 I'm pretty sure those don't exist.

  • with this gun i think you can shoot all youre classmates and they woudnt even notice it

  • I don't want to sound like one of those typical Call of Duty tossers, but this sounds exactly like the .22 in New Vegas (which I assume is meant to replicate the Ruger). Credit to the game designers I suppose.
