Celebrating Monterey County!

In Monterey County we partner for the arts. Celebrating Monterey County! is a 10 minute video on the Arts Council for Monterey County's 3rd annual juried yearl-long exhibition at the Monterey County Government Center, 168 West Alisal St, Salinas, CA. This year's exhibit features 31artists from throughout Monterey County.
Alisal Center for the Fine Arts' dance troupe Ritmo Latino provided entertainment. Supervisor Ila Mettee-McCutchon welcomed the artists a thanked them for their contribution to art in public places. Lew C. Bauman, the county administrator, noted how important art is in the lives of young people. Arts Council Richard Anderson stressed partnering makes it possible for the Arts Council to make art a greater part of the lives of everyone throughout our region. Artisits shared their inspiration with our viewers.
Gema Garcia choreographed Ritmo Latino. Michael Houston of PictureMonterey.org created the video with support for Academy Award winning director John Longenecker's PictureAmerica.org which lets arts nonprofits produce films with high definition equipment.
