@tippyray only according to her. According to David the dress belonged to his mother. And from what I've heard and read and seen, she has lied before. I'm not saying she's lying now, but it is questionable.

I reckon he "sold out" in the eighties so he could make loads of money and fell free to create stuff in the nineties , which some of it was brill!

That interviewer had a point there, Bowie was, and is, a very calculating person, he was indeed striving for "success" no matter what genre, he tried 'm all ,before finaly striking gold with Ziggy.Even that was too long. Quote'75:"I've Rocked My Roll,I Will Be The Next Sinatra,And I Will Succeed".
Doesn't antimatter, he was bloody good at it (till '86 that is).
