PS3 phat have touch buttons, PS3 slim NOT! PS3 phat 60gb have 4 usb ports, PS3 slim NOT!
PS3 slim is just a cheaper version of the phat! :P

What I like better about slim version is it can play PS2 and PS1 games

My point is if you want to upgrade from a phat to a slim, it's not really necessary unless your phat one broke. :)

Features by my point of view: Can play PS2 games: Slim No Phat only the 1st model Outside look facts: Slim Has a matte finish that isnt a dust and finger print magnet. Phat Glossy, cool looking but can probably get irritating having to clean it every 10 minutes Size Slim Much smaller Phat Much bigger Accessories Slim Comes with dualshock 3 Phat Comes with both Nondualshock 3 and dualshock 3 controllers Other Slim has a PS Family logo, but boring white Phat has a colorful one.

The slim has better cooling so it doesnt overheat but every thing about the pos is bettet

Ehh the fat looks okay compared to the slim, the slim looks new and modern. I wouldent mind having the chrome but i dont like the gloss.

@VictoReX11 PS3 fat is sexier and is more expensive im not here to brag about the PS3 fat and slim and say the slim sucks or anything but if you look at the PS3 fat it has touch control buttons while the PS3 slim doesn't the PS3 slim cant play PS2 games but the PS3 fat can (only some models) the PS3 fat is shinier with the glossy finish. They're both good but i prefer the sexy fat one lol

i bought my ps3 fat 1 year after the announce of the ps3 slim because i like the fat more.
just my opinion :)
