My first ride on a Codiac Transit bus. Here is number 315 going on the Express route. This bus was formerly Utah Transit Authority's #9004.

  • This thing sounds nice and strong!

  • @busrailfan Their Classics generally do. One driver told me the units 315 and up seem to perform better than the lower units.

  • Guelph Transit retired their ex-UTA Classics a couple months ago, had the same interior seen here. i always wonder about that vent at the back, if these Classics were equipped with AC

  • @97SCT They did, which must explain the extended bulkhead (?) above the engine cover. Interestingly, though, the model number on these buses is AC40102-N, instead of -A.

  • @TC40102N To my knowledge, the UTA Classics had what were known as "Swamp Coolers", not air conditioning. I don't quite understand exactly what a 'Swamp Cooler" is though.

  • @busrailfan Thanks for the correction.
