Sarah Palin and any of the convention speakers and surrogates who tried over the past week to convince America to vote for the McCain-Palin ticket, the important issues of jobs, health care, housing, fair trade and retirement security seemed the furthest thing from the minds of McCain and his allies.

Sarah Palin looks and sounds like a McCain cheerleader, rather than 2nd in command of our country. It's a shame that this crowd didn't demand that she tell them something they didn't already hear at the RNC.

More importantly, the "success" of the surge means little when the war itself was a mistake, not to mention illegal.
