All turtles lay eggs on land.
Females are particular about where they lay and bury their eggs and may travel long distances over land to find a suitable location.
Some turtle eggs hatch in late summer or early fall.
Others remain in the egg or nest all winter and emerge in the spring.

The Red Eared Slider didn't lay the eggs in the end of the video. That's a different kind of baby turtle. And also no they don't take care of any babies. They just lay them and go.

i raised 4 turtles. There were 9 but 5 passed away. The reason we hatched them is because the mom turtle died shortly after. The 5 that "died" were duds so i guess it was ok. The 4 Turtles r now huge and awesome! we let them go after 5 weeeks
