Indiana Jones Adventure - Boulder Effect

This is now outdated from my progress, but the general effect is still accurate. However, my most recent version as a smoother motion for the room.
Heres a quick video I made showing how the "Rolling Boulder" effect works in the "Indiana Jones Adventure" at Disneyland.

The textures suck, and I purposely did this with 'fullbright' lighting on so you can see the effect.

This is extremely close to how it works in the actual ride.

This was made in counter-strike source, and the whole ride can be seen on another video in my channel.

There's a ceiling above you. It's just hard to see in this video because it's black, and the angle I'm taking the video at makes it seem like there isn't a ceiling above the jeep.

If you look behind you in real life when you are on the ride, you can see a plain black show building with a little window, LOL i was laughing so hard wen i saw that, but really check it out next time you are there.

Yep, because the cave wall is just a shell inside the building. The window you saw is a vent to the outside. Sometimes its open and sometimes its not, so if it is open and the sun is out, you can sometimes see light coming in. You can see the vent I'm talking about when you take the tram from the M&F parking structure. The vents aren't facing DTD, but rather they are on the West Wall of the show building.

lol i was on it and it was a little brighter than normal so i could see the boulder not moving yet but still spinning. funny.

that's what really happens. as the boulder comes towards you, the car isn't moving at all, everything around you is. Then, at the right time, the car speeds into the mini drop nearly under the boulder.
