FAME Movie Preview - Sneak Peek

Can movie perfection really be improved upon? We're about to find out.

Hey movie fans-I'm Joslyn for ClevverTV with all the latest news on FAME's return to the bigscreen. The remake will be based upon the 1980 film which follows talented students attending the New York City High School for the Performing arts, which is now usually referred to as LaGuardia high school. The original movie was a huge success and judging from the cast of the remake, the new version is sure to be a hit. Megan Mullally, Kelsey Grammar and Bebe Neuwirth are all on the film's roster. Famed choreographer Debbie Allen will also appear as the Principal in the new upcoming feature.

But what is really exciting about this film is that we are going to see a whole new group of actors playing the students in FAME- who are sure to use the film to catapult their careers to the next level. La Guardia will play home to the hottest up and coming singers, dancers and actors in New York City. This goes for real life as well-as I mentioned earlier La Gaurdia is a real high school. AND Lady Gaga is one of many famous singers who actually attended the NYC school before hitting the bigtime.

The film is currently in post-production and a very short trailer is available for viewing but other than that, info on FAME is pretty scarce. IF you are a fan of the original movie or the musical, you won't want to miss FAME when it hits theaters nationwide in September. Ugh. I hate Fame. It's not even filmed in LaGuardia! Where are the art majors in that movie anyway? They take up, like, 45% of the student population?!

Dancing on tables will just lead you to the detention room, you won't make it to class in time if you prance and twirl along the way, and are the actors even young enough to be a 12th grader?

All I'm trying to say is that this new Fame is just a rip off of High School Musical (not that I like that either *shudder*). The original is WAY better.

it was shot in Professional Performing Arts School lol not LaGuardia (the new movie)

I KNOW! and how about techies?! im going next year for artt and whenevr i tell someon eim going to LaGuardia for art they are like "theres an art sudio! i didnt know that!" and im like yeah its the biggest :p

True that. But making it family appropriate is the same as clouding reality.

also i think they tried to make it more family appropriate if you know what i mean. the original was really really really deep and i think more of a realistic view of life
