Salut! C'etait qui ton pasha et chef mecanicien?
J'ai bose de janvier 2002 jusq'en novembre 2006 pour CMA-CGM comme OT...

DWT is ONLY for commercial ships (it's maximum load capacity - dead weight)OM2 is a cruise ship and 148873 is not DWT, it's brute tonnage...something different...As a sailor I can say that 4,5 meters difference on draft is HUGE! There are not many harbors in the world who can accommodate this type o draft...

The Container vessel isn't bigger than the Queen Mary 2.
The LOA of the CMA CGM verdi is: 277m with a beam of 40m. Draft is 14,5m. The DWT of it is 73234 to.
The QM2 has LOA of 345m with a beam 41,1m and a draft of 10m. The DWT of the QM2 is 148.873.
Why do you think the CMA CGM is bigger?
There are SO many Container Vessels, Bulkers and Tankers that are MUCH bigger than the QM2.
Would have been interesting to see the Emma Maersk, Berge Stahl or Jahre Viking passing by!

I joined this ship soon after this video was recorded, on the 3rd of november 2005 in Zeebrugge as a cadet for a 4 month trip, sailing to China and back twice. We limped back into Southampton on the 19th Feb with 50 containers lost and 80 damgaged after hitting a massive storm in Biscay.

To avcomth:
this ship is 5700 TEU and is bigger tham QM2!
Think about the draft and maximum lenght...don't look on the structure over the main bridge! You can say also than a sails boat is bigger than any comercial ship due to his thousands sqare meters of sails!

This ship is 4000 TEUs, that's why it's dwarfed by the size of Queen Mary 2, however there are vessels such as the "Yang Ming Ultimate", or the "OOCL ShenZhen" that are twice the capacity of this ship, and those are really huge.
We need more containership videos on YouTube. A lot more.
