Congradulations, "Space Emporer"! I never made it past the 2nd mission of "Space General".
I didn't hear GORF talk and that was the reason I got so much into this game, it pissed me off!
I wish I had all the quarters I put into GORF... I wish I could find a home-version of it.

This game gave me anxiety attacks back in the day, I LOVED IT!

They just don't make games like that anymore. I can still hear the robot talking and it takes me back to when I was 10 years old.

@arcademan1 I actually had one of those units as well. the speech synthesis was a dedicated board inside the unit if i recall, and the game would still function if the board failed.

I used to smoke Gorf's arse. Timing and moving UP, not back. gives you more angles to maneuver. Shooting those lines and waiting b4 shooting... that was a fun game. the ship tho was the coolest. chunks flying off. hehe

As far as I know it does not end. I played for 4 hours and 45 minutes, got 943K and there was no end in sight.....

None of the cool in-game robot speech though ??? Whats up with that ?

I've had problems with the sound/speech on the game since I've owned it(1998). It goes on and off. Sometimes the right speaker goes out, too; then I have half the sounds I should. Haven't gotten around to fixing it since its intermittent....

I missed....couldn't get to it? I'm guessing you're talking about the bouncing dude that appears at the top of the screen; I rarely hit that one...
