Ulyanov might have been a little more democratic but have you seen the fotage with him and his cat. Dude looks like a Bond villain. He was also very rude to everybody expect a selected few who won his respect. Also people don't understand that there was no opition of ruling a state like Russia softly after WW1.

Those kids were brainwashed by Stalin to believing they were like Lenin. Lenin never wanted mindless slaves, he saw the danger of the Stalinist bureaucracy. But he never imagined that Stalin would use his image to brainwash children.
A socialist state needs critical people, it cannot work win out healthy criticism and freedom of speech.

I'm sorry, but the translation of the song is not correct. The first two lines of the girl are right, but the song is not being sung about Lenin. It is about the Soviet Union. I don't want to think that people gain a bad impression of the Soviet Union because of this video (Although, I am not defending Lenin at all! - read some history books and then decide how you feel. No one has to make a video with incorrect subtitles to make others not like Lenin.)
