PGR4: 0.06
COD4: 1.07
GRAW: 2.52
Gears: 3.57
GH III: 5.35
Halo 3: 8.08

This is a follow up video from the first test I did using the pinnacle video transfer device to record gameplay from Xbox 360 games. After much tinkering with various file types and different software, namely Adobe Premiere, I have managed to create a video showcasing far superior video quality to my previous attempt. This video is merely a test to show others what the PVT is capable of and as an indicator to myself as to how to edit/produce montage videos. I will continue to experiment with various other things in an attempt to further improve the quality.

All footage was captured in a single day's recording! I hope you enjoy and please comment.

N.B. a further purpose of this video is to show others who may be considering whether or not to invest in a capture card just what they are capable of on a variety of games people like to play and record!

  • is this on good, better, or best quality?

  • Better/medium

  • Thanks for the information. I also have my ps3, i have a cable that has Composite and S-Video but i realize i have no sound because its in the PVT. anyway around that you know? Thanks again!

  • I don't have a ps3 so I'm not sure how that would connect. I know there are other videos on YouTube that instruct you how to set up your system using splitter cables so you can hear the sound. The way I do it is the best way but you need seperate speakers to do that using an optical cable! I have the special pioneer surround system built for the 360 but they stopped selling them years ago!

  • Can you tell me how you have your pvt hooked up to record? i have the device but its confusing when trying to figure out how to hook it up the best way. your way seems very good and would appreciate it if you could tell me your way because it looks great!

  • I don't use the supplied Pinnacle cables or any seperately purchased cables!

To do what I do you need a HDTV and a seperate speaker system using either HDMI or optical!

I merely plug the yellow (video), red & white (audio) from my 360's component cable into the PVT then I display the picture on my screen using the green, blue and red left over parts of the component cable. This means you play in standard def on your TV and listen to the sound through your speakers!

  • Yes, this was recorded on the medium recording mode. I can't quite decypher what the best quality setting could be used for as everything I have attempted with it comes out jittery upon playback.

It may be odd seeing COD4 but that was the COD game of that time :p

  • ive been playing MW2 and its a little bit odd going and seeing footage from COD4!

was this was recorded in medium quality? other than the frame skips (more often than i would like) it seems to give decent recording

  • i thing that your problem with the glitching is your Jacks and cables... but you could make a video with the better Quality just to show us that is it like...

    ABMarques out.

    (plz reply)
