  • for those of you Wondering, the beat was produced by Lord Finesse, and the lyrics are written by Royce Da 5'9" believe it or not. But Dre said in an interview that how he does that a bunch of ghostwriters would sit in his room, like a classroom, whether it was Eminem, Hittman, Snoop Dogg, etc. and they would send their lyrics up to Dre, and he would choose the best and make a few edits to them to suit his personality better, and then record, so his thought did go somewhat into the lyrics.

  • 10 lames who don't get "The Message"...

  • at a funeral, the farewell speech is rarely given by the family, its usually given by the person presiding, be it a priest, or rabbi or whatever religious preacher you recognize, and that person usually doesn't know who it is particularly well. Dre letting Royce write this is simply because Royce, overall, is more of a lyrical rapper, much in the way Wale is now. doesn't matter who wrote it, dre still killed it

  • everyone should enjoy the song in my opinion, royce and dre bother have brothers so relate it to both considering it was written about both... ENJOY THE DAMN MUSIC...

  • takes so much away knowing royce wrote the lyrics... i love dre... but pretty pathetic he couldnt write atleast the lyrics to this song considering its talking about his brother...
