I went to school with him at the Savini School. He was tall and scary at first but every time I talked to him he was super nice and helped me with what ever I needed. I remember one day I was kinda shy and thought I was using too much monomer or something and was afraid to ask for more and he got it for me. Knowing him was very humbling and spoke levels about the kind of artist who chooses this kind of craft.
I just heard about this...a whole year later. I saw the recent comments on his myspace and I was shocked. I went to school with him at the Art Institute and he was probably my favorite classmate. We'd talk metal and horror movies and I always looked up to him (other than the obvious fact that he was tall as hell) because he was there to do make-up effects (like I was) and he stuck with it and went on to the savini school. Rest in peace, Cody...you are missed.
Thank you for making this tribute- this nearing halloween will have many of us thinking of our beloved friend, others think of him nearly daily. A presence like his is never forgotten. We are blessed for knowing someone who lived so well. Love always.
