@JVDAWG1 actually yes you were in the wrong. japan was ready to surrender before the nukes dropped. japan was militarly defeated and had literaly nothing to be a threat to the u.s. The bombs were a threat to russia because they were in high tensions with the u.s telling the russians not too screw around so they picked japan because they were the last man standing.
